Emerson Theological Institute was established in 1993
under the direction of Dr. Angelo Pizelo, Director of
the Positive Living Center of Central California, Inc.
The institute is dedicated to personal and global transformation
by promoting the understanding and embodiment of Universal
Principles so that each individual can pursue unlimited
spiritual, emotional, intellectual and social potential.
Emerson Institute’s major focus is on programs
designed to further this awakening to empowering Universal
Principles and to provide the instructional resources
that will facilitate the realization of potential and
the development of healthy relationships and spiritual
communities.
To accomplish its vision, Emerson’s core curriculum
embraces the religious philosophy acknowledging God
in humanity and the power of right thinking.
It emphasizes the existence of One Life, One Mind,
One Power, One Presence, in, as, and through all creation.
Emerson Institute believes that learning is a lifelong
experience and that to fully grow spiritually, emotionally,
intellectually and socially, the individual needs to
be “open at the top,” as Ernest Holmes so
profoundly stated.
We grow in consciousness as we learn and reflect on
the ideas and beliefs of great teachers, both past and
present.
With this in mind, the teachings of Ernest Homes, Ralph
Waldo Emerson, Henry David Thoreau, Mary Baker Eddy,
Emma Curtis Hopkins, Charles Fillmore, Thomas Troward,
Stuart Wilde, Joel Goldsmith, Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra,
Harry Morgan Moses, Thomas Moore, and many others are
examined.
